What MF Central does
MF Central is the investor services portal built by the two mutual fund registrars. One login shows your folios across fund houses, and one request can change your details on all of them.
MF Central is an investor services portal conceived by CAMS and KFintech, the two registrars that keep the records for India’s fund houses. It is a service portal: it does not suggest or rank schemes.
What you can see
Your mutual fund holdings across all fund houses, on one platform. For a full statement with transactions, the Consolidated Account Statement remains the document to keep.
What you can change
The useful part: one service request can add or change information across all your mutual fund folios, instead of one form per fund house. That covers changes such as:
- your contact details;
- your bank mandate;
- PAN details on a folio.
Other doors it opens
- Transmission requests, to claim units after a death — see the claim checklist.
- MITRA, the search for inactive and unclaimed folios — see Finding forgotten folios.
What it does not replace
The scheme documents still come from the fund house, and each fund house remains responsible for its own folios. If a request is stuck, the grievance route is the same as for any other service request.

This is education, not advice
This article explains categories and mechanics. It does not name a scheme, does not rank anything and does not tell you what to buy. H2 Investment is an AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor (ARN-200996), not a SEBI-registered investment adviser. For a personal financial plan, talk to a SEBI-registered investment adviser. Tax treatment depends on your own circumstances and the rules change — confirm your position with a qualified tax adviser.
